Sample New-Hire Onboarding Checklist
Before the First Day

Sample First-Month HR Plan
Week 1: Understand the Business
Meet with leadership to understand the team, current processes, immediate concerns, and business priorities. Review agreed HR materials through an appropriate secure process.
Deliverable: An initial assessment and prioritized action list.
Week 2: Organize the Essentials
Identify documentation gaps, clarify HR responsibilities, and establish a tracker for the agreed work.
